STRATEGIC GROWTH

2020 | APACO AG HAS REORGANISED

Since it was founded in 1932, Apaco AG in Grellingen has developed into the leading equipment and plant engineering company in Switzerland. The integration and takeover of the production of transport containers, the general representation of Bosch hot water and steam boiler plants, Bertrams Heatec AG and the subsidiary INRA Group AG in Pratteln make it necessary to reposition Apaco AG, which at this point has 120 employees. The new organisation with the Building Services, Heating Technology and Life Science + Apparatus Engineering units is consistently focused on the needs of the marketplace.

2016

2016 | APACO TAKES OVER BERTRAMS HEATEC AG

By taking over and integrating the workforce of the former Bertrams Heatec AG based in Pratteln, Switzerland, in June 2016, we are also positioned ideally in the international arena. These are experienced specialists in the area of indirect process heat transfer using heat transfer fluids, molten salt or gases for industrial applications all over the world.

2015

2015 | APACO TAKES OVER INRABAU AG

The takeover expands Apaco AG’s range of services in the field of system engineering and construction. For you as our customer, this ensures access to a powerful specialist team. Inrabau AG, based in Füllinsdorf, Switzerland, acquired BWB Engineering AG, based in Pratteln, also in Switzerland, on January 1, 2019 and merged with INRA Group AG in the summer of 2019, thus expanding its range of services to include pipe and system manufacturing. Inrabau AG has been manufacturing custom-made pipelines and systems for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry since 1997.

2011

2011 | APACO TAKES OVER GENERAL AGENCY OF BOSCH THERMOTECHNIK (HOT WATER AND STEAM BOILER SYSTEMS)

Apaco takes over a team of specialists from Alfa-Getinge, including the general agency of the former Loos Thermotechnik, based in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, and founds a heating technology department. In 2012, Loos Thermotechnik is renamed Bosch Thermotechnik. As a general agent of Bosch Thermotechnik in Switzerland, Apaco AG supplies hot water and steam boiler systems including accessories to the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

2007

2007 | APACO TAKES OVER TRANSPORT CONTAINER PRODUCTION FROM STÖCKLIN AG

Apaco takes over a team of specialists from Stöcklin AG, based in Dornach, Switzerland, and continues the production of special storage, transport, heating and cooling, bulk and tank containers.

2001

2001 | APACO TAKES OVER GENERAL AGENCY OF INNOVATEC GERÄTETECHNIK (OZONE GENERATION SYSTEMS)

Apaco takes over the representation of electrolytic and conventional ozone generation systems for pure and ultrapure water, drinking water and other applications. Innovatec GmbH, based in Rheinbach, Germany, also produces the innovative OZONE-PEN for the disinfection of drinking water. Apaco AG represents these products in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

2000 | STRATEGIC COOPERATION WITH BERTRAMS CHEMIEANLAGEN AG (HIGH CONCENTRATION SYSTEMS)

Bertrams Chemieanlagen AG, based in Muttenz, Switzerland, is an internationally active company with subsidiaries in China and India and numerous dealerships worldwide. Among other things, Bertrams Chemieanlagen AG offers its customers systems for the alkali and chlorine industries for concentrating lyes. Apaco manufactures and supplies pure nickel components for these systems.

1971 – 1992

1971 – 1992 | CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FACTORY HALLS AND BUILDING COMPLEX

The family business continues to grow. Two new production halls 2 and 3 are built in 1971, and a large new production hall 0 is built in 1989. In 1992, the building complex is extended with new office space. Apaco is prepared for the future.

1932 – 1967 | FOUNDING OF THE COMPANY AND TRANSFORMATION INTO APACO AG

In 1932, Walter Herrli Sr. founds the family business. Walter Herrli Jr. takes over the company in 1967 and transforms it into Apaco AG for equipment manufacturing.
