Ultrapure water supply
for international pharmaceutical company
Our client is an international pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Basel and production facilities in Valais but also abroad. The business model of this customer is based on supporting the products of emerging biotech companies as quickly as possible and under cGMP conditions for clinical testing as well as market introduction.
Any biotech production requires very pure water, which is regulated by the respective pharmacopoeias. The best known is that of the United States, which is controlled and monitored by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The most important qualities besides drinking water are Purified Water (PW) and Water for Injection (WFI), which are sometimes required in large quantities and above all in consistent quality.
Due to Apaco‘s experience in the field of ultrapure water (apparatus, equipment, piping and automation), we were initially contracted for a new WFI supply and shortly thereafter for a complete Purified Water and WFI supply.

UL-S has a capacity of 5000 kg/h saturated steam. Through efficiency-enhancing additional modules, both energy costs and emissions are reduced.

MOBILE PHARMACEUTICAL STIRRING VESSEL
For a new biotechnological production at an innovative Swiss pharmaceutical company, a mobile pharmaceutical stirred tank was required. In addition to the stirring task, the vessel had to be cleanable on the inside by means of spray lances, and completely suitable for clean room operation (BioSafety Level 1) on the outside.
