Bosch boilers are optimised for rapid heat-up and high steam quality through an ideal ratio of water content to steam volume. An ideal temperature distribution and steam bubble release enable a gentle operation even in case of dynamic requirements. Compared to other boiler designs, the Bosch design with its high steam volume results in fewer flood shutdowns and minimises water carry-over. In addition, our intelligent three-component control system, pilot signals from large consumers and less frequent pre-ventilation (burner start) allow for particularly quick reactions to peak loads.
The typical boiler design common in old steam locomotives has consistently been developed further. The stud bolt-free construction with inserted flame tube offers maximum robustness and increased resistance to cold starts.
